I live in a building that has wireless network.

It was working fine yesterday mornig, but the signal was a very low and was runninng slow, so I right clicked on the wireless connection and click on repair. Now I cant connect to the network, when I click on repair again it goes through reconnecting but then eventually gives a message saying it cant connect, please contact network administrator.

I did notice that the green light is also no longer showing on the linsky card.

I have tried the following:

Scanning for new hardware changes
taken the nic out and back in
restarted laptop several times
checked in device manager and the network card shows with no problems, it says this device is working properly.

Any advice Im stuck to what to try next.

Thanks
R

From what you described, and it sounds like you were thorough and know what you are doing, I would try another card in your laptop. If it is enabled and there is no green light then the USB port(or card slot) has failed or the unit is bad. The LED will be on regardless of detectable networks. I hope it is under warranty or you can find another cheaply. I think you have done the best job anyone could do to troubleshoot the system. Again, my best advice is to try another known working card. This is the final step of your root cause analysis. I am sure you already know this so please don't give me a bad rating.
