The One For All 3 Device Universal Remote Control is preprogrammed at
the factory to operate an RCA TV, a Toshiba DVD player, and a Motorola
cable box.To control devices other than the default brands, perform the following
steps; otherwise skip this section:
1. Turn on a desired device (e.g.,VCR or DVD player) and, if
applicable, insert media (e.g., cassette or disc).
NOTE: Please read steps 2 through 4 completely before proceeding.
Highlight or write down the codes and device you wish to program
before starting step 2.

the LED will blink twice.

the same code again.
5. Aim the remote control at the device and press POWER
once. The device should turn off. If it does not, repeat
steps 2 through 5, trying each code for your brand until
you find one that works. If it still doesn’t work, try

I bought a rca tv from a hotel closing down it didnt have the remote to it and I cant access all my channels how can I reprogram it with a universal remote

The universal remote will have several possible codes that can be used to work your TV. If the one you have programmed in is not doing the job reprogram another code. If only one code exists then you have a remote that is not fully compatible with your set. Some of the universal have this issue. Some of the RCA set required a dedicated and locked in remote. You would have to contact RCA and tell them your model number and serial number to get another remote. Beware these can get really expensive. I have included a site that you can use to find codes just in case you have lost that little paper that has the codes.

Newer brands of tvs are using new codes that old remotes don't have. Only older learing remotes from original remotes or USB upgradable or newer one that were made after the tv was made will work.

Code set problem

make sure your tv is and Infrared tv.. if it is there is a chance that the remote just doesn't have the capability to program to it. you should first try getting your original remote control as has many older and hard to find remote controls for RCA TVs.
