Re: Won't start.

To reset an iPod with a Click Wheel, including: ipodnano3.jpg ipodclassic.jpg icon_ipod_5g.gif ipodnano2.jpg ipodnano.jpg ipodphoto.gif ipodg4.gif ipodmini.gif

  • iPod nano (3rd generation)
  • iPod classic
  • iPod (5th generation)
  • iPod nano (2nd generation)
  • iPod nano
  • iPod with color display (iPod photo)
  • iPod (Click Wheel)
  • iPod mini
  • iPod mini (2nd generation)
  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.

How Do I fix My I Pod Which Is Disabled

First make sure the battery has some charge by using a wall plugin. Then try resetting it by holding down the power button and home/middle button at the same time until it turns off. It should automatically start back up again.

My i pod touch is blank, i've followed the relevant stepr to restore it. after which an error code was given on i-tunes, i followed the steps given for the error but my i pod is still doing...

Try this:
Hold down the middle button (home button), the power button, and the volume DOWN button (make SURE that it's not the up one. It won't do anything, but it won't fix your iPod. Only the Down button will.).

Hold all of these down until the Apple sign shows up. Once the Apple sign shows up, it SHOULD work.
I hope this helps!

I pod quictime issue

This should be easy but it is still hassle. You need to go to apples web site, and download quicktime from there. If that doesn't work you will need to reinstall itunes which will automatically intall everything it needs. QuickTime actually runs alot of things from your itunes to clips on the internet. Good luck

Washing Machine..........

THIS ONE WORKED FOR US !!!!!!!! My son ran his I-pod nano through the washing machine. We found it at the end of the cycle. The i-pod wouldn't do anything. We took it and used a hair blowdryer holding it while blowing hot air "at" it. Than I placed it standing up on the counter with paper towels under it for a day. After 3 days, we both thought it was DOA. But I tried one last thing. I plugged it into the computer and opened i-tunes. I clicked to restore it to factory settings and it started charging. I than click on to reload all his songs and in a few minutes it was up and running. If fact I am listening to it as I enter this entry.

Ipod nano problem

hello blair,I Have my own I-pod so I hope this will re asure you. First I think you should restore your I tunes as long as your brother has your songs too. Then ask him to create a CD of all your songs, which is not hard at all. then take the CD and open I-Tunes. Place the CD into your hard drive and I-Tunes should pick up the CD. Then download the content of the CD onto I-Tunes. You Will Now have all your songs on I-Tunes like before. Now plug in your I-Pod and continue like It's the first time you have pluged in your i-pod! hope this helps! Rosebetts xxx

your computer has its own personal i-tunes for your i-pod and all your music is saved to that computer so if you plug your i-pod into someone elses computer it will eighther sync all thier music to your i-pod or it will erase all the music on your i-pod they dont have on thier sujjestion is to buy a plug in to the wall charger for your i-pod if your barely home to charge it. that way you keep your music yet charge your i-pod to.
