Re: Oven gas does not come on?

It sounds like a bad glow plug.It may also be a bad ignitor box!! I would check the glow plug before i would suspect the ignitor box. It's alot cheaper!!

Amana, ACS3350, gas slid - in range, the oven will not turn

I just had the same problem. I had it repaired and it was the oven ignitor. Labor and Parts $185. I now have an additional problem and I have to call the repair person back. The oven starts up and preheats to temp I set of 350 degrees. Then after awhile it will shut off and after another few minutes the clock will come back on and blink. I will repress oven bake and it will go for a short time and then shut off. I don't know what the problem is yet. I am totaly dis gusted with this stove. The stove is only 8 years old!

Amana oven does not work.

the most likly problem is the bake ignitor is bad. this is a common part to fail in gas ovens. the bake ignitor part number for your model is 31940001, and price ranges from $45-$75. a bad clock can also cause this issue, but I would start with the ignitor. let me know if you have further questions. shane

My maytag gas oven model #MGR5755QDW makes a loud poof noise when first turned on. It doesn't do it all the time and it only happens when it is first lights.

You are getting a delayed ignition fom the oven burner. Either the ports on the burner near the ignitor are clogged or you have a weak oven ignitor. part # 12400035 @ $70.00

TAPPAN gas range model 30-3991-00/03 oven won't work.

the button your holding is the switch that tells the board that the consumer whats to if holding the switch causes that message to work[or oven to heat] and letting go of that button ,then no work .its that button ,but its all part of the board .just that part of its funktion is broken.,if it was lets say your oven ignitor or oven gas safty valve ,the board/oven control[the one with the button]would continue to try after you have selected bake [pushed button]or would give error code.hope that helps you. God bless you , tom
