Wireless printer won't print wirelessly.

I have an HP Photosmart 3310 all-in-one printer with wireless capability, although it hasn't shown me yet that it can actually print wirelessly. I have the printer configured to communicate wirelessly. I use Cisco Network Magic software that displays a map of my home network, and the map shows that the printer is recognized on my network. But when I try to print from a computer on the network, nothing happens. Any ideas?

Has the printer software been installed on the computer? Have you added the printer to your printer list on the computer?

Photosmart D5069 InkJet Printer Wireless

Well...HP models that have network capability have an "N" at the end of the model number. often those that have built-in wireless have a "W" somewhere as well.

Yours does not....so you cannot print DIRECTLY to the printer via Wireless LAN. You CAN however, connect it via a USB cable to a PC that is on your Network, (you must have wireless access to this network already for this to work, if not, then you have a whole different problem that is another question=How do I add "wireless" to my Local Area Network-LAN.)

Once the printer is properly installed, then you need to SHARE it to others on your Network. How this is done varies with what operating system you have...you did not tell us.

My hp 3310 will not print either by usb cable or wireless - always asks for wpa number, can't turn off wireless on printer

Hi there!
Normally on the printer itself, you can turn off the wireless functionality of it by going to Setup > Network > Wireless Radio. You can also press the Wireless Icon to get into the Setup settings.

Hope this helps!

How do I connect my wireless laptop to the hp photosmart 3210?

If the printer doesn't already have network capability, you'll need to use a USB print server. Here's an example. You connect the server to one of the router's wired ports, and then any network computer (wired or wireless) will be able to print to the printer.

Iam trying to set up a photosmart D7360 to work in my home for all PCs so I'd like to set it up wireless. I'm currently using a router. How do I start? I have a brand ne HP lap top and the photosmart is in...

HP Photosmart D7360 is Not completely Wireless Capable, However if you want to make it Wireless, You will have to use HP bt450 Bluetooth Wireless.

However since this printer has Ethernet Port, you can still make this printer wireless.

You will have to connect this printer thru Ethernet cable ( network cable ) to Router ( this is called wired networking )

Once you have connected the printer to Router, insert the disk in CD Drive and start the installation process, It will prompt you to choose the type of Connection, Choose Wired/Wireless Network and continue with further installation to complete.

How this works,
With any PC that is connected Wireless to Router, You will be able to print wireless from the PC to Printer.

Have a HP Photosmart C4280. Does this have wireless capability?

According to the manufacturer's web-site:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00870767&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=ca&lang=en&product=3192753

this printer utilizes a USB interface, not a wireless interface.

Further, it is _not_ supported by the HP Wireless Print Server product.

Need my laptop to communicate wireless to printer

If the printer does not have a built-in network card/print server then there is a couple of ways to do this.
If you have a desktop computer connected to the wireless router with a LAN cable, then connect the printer to the desktop computer and make this printer a shared printer on your network. This means that the desktop computer and printer needs to be on when you want to print from the laptop.
The other way is to purchase a print server, connect the printer to the print server and connect the print server with a LAN cable to the Wireless router.
If you don't have sufficient network ports on the wireless router then you need to purchase a hub. Then connect the hub and wireless router with a LAN cable and then the print server to the hub and other computers to the hub.
Setting up the wireless printing will depend upon which method you want to adopt and I can advise you when further when you are ready.
