A carburetor type engine has the pump on the engine near the front on the side--trace the fuel line down. Fuel injected engines have the pump located in the fuel tank.

well its located in the middle of the intake it should be two 12mm bolts i found it to be easyer to take the intake off cause of the spacer that has to be replaced as well it should of come with the pump along with like four gaskets

Where is the EGR valve on 1986 Dodge Ram D50 pickup 2.0cc 4 cyl

if there pipes or tubes on top of your exhaust manifold that is where your EGR valve should be. if you want diagrams or text to help fix this problem i suggest the book from Chilton. they tend to explain thing pretty well.

do yourself a favor and take the truck to a fuel diesel injection shop the larger nut is just a cover but the smaller one is an adjustment if you remove either on you could damage the pump

it sounds like a timeing issue but in the distributor itself. check your weights inside your distributor they could possibly be stuck
