How do I fix error code F23 on Kenmore oven

Googled error code F32 Kenmore oven and got this: Sears Parts Direct.com. Quote: "The F23 error indicates a communication fault between the main electronic control and the variable speed convection board.
Most likely the variable speed control board will have to be replaced.
I recommend a technician check and repair this problem." Hope this is your oven. You can also download an installation guide and owners manual here.

Looks like you have the key stuck code. To replace the panel, first shut off the power, then take the screw out that are holding the oven into the cabinets. After that you will need to pull it out from the cabinets about 4 inches. Then take off the screws holding the control panel in place. Here is an exploded view of the control panel, this should help. My oven says F7 with a constant beeping sound every minute on the minute. How do I get it to stop and what does it mean?

Hi,
The code can be caused by a faulty keypad or a Stuck keypad which may mean relay is turned on. Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:
1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.
2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel. :

F1 error code and constant beeping and oven shuts off.

Hi gwhiz03,

If you are having error code F1 with your Jenn-Air double wall oven this is because you have a defective touch pad or clock (ERC). This simple test will help determine whether the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) or the touch pad is defective when F1 error code is present.

Note: Some models incorporate the touch pad in to the ERC as a single assembly, in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace the ERC (Clock).

Warning: If you feel in any way uncomfortable performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

1. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please double check before continuing.
2. Gain access inside the control panel.
3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.
4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.
5. Turn the power back on.
6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the F1 code comes back (usually accompanied by a beeping sound).
7. If F1 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Jenn-Air Gas-Electric Grill Ranfe with Convection Oven M# SVD48600

if possible, squat down in front of the range and put your ear as close to the bottom of the control panel/top of the door when you close it. there is a small motor that pulls the door in when you use the self-cleaning function. perhaps that motor is running all the time? its quite, more of a humm. this could explain why its locking itself. other than that, my convection oven JennAir has a small fan in the back that runs when the oven is on, regular or convections mode. you can see this fan squirel cage in the back wall of the oven. if you were to pull the range out, you will notice (atleast on mine) that there is another much smaller fan on the backside of the range behind the removable metal panel. what the smaller fan is for, i have no idea. so there are two fans, plus if you have the down draft feature, thats 3 total. hope this helps somehow.

Fan and light constantly on

which fan? the exhaust fan or the control board cooling fan? the cooling fan is controlled by a thermostat just behind the control panel. it turns the fan to protect the board from overheating.
