Well you should either replace the battery yourself (cheaper) or have a porffesional do it or take it back to the place you got it. To open the back you will need a thin flathead screw driver to pry it open. then go to the store and replace the battery.

My Ipod Touch has gone blank Whenever i run my Ipod it will not response and a white blank screen is the only thing you can see on the player. i tried doing a system restore but i got an error message....

Try doing a full system restore. Make sure the ipod is turned off and plug the usb cable into both the ipod and the computer. Hold the home and sleep buttons and wait for the apple logo to appear on the ipod, when this appears let go of the sleep button and keep the home button pressed. When the itunes icon and a usb cable appear on the ipod let go of the home button. Open itunes on the pc and it should say it has detected an ipod in recovery mode. Do a full restore and update and hopefully this will correct the problem.

I have plugged in my IPOD to charge and now all it shows me are Itunes with a plug and nothing else to get started. I am new to IPOD so it is probably something I have not done

  1. Power off the device (Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the the iPod touch to turn off.
  2. Press and hold the Home button while reconnecting the USB cable to iPod. When you reconnect the USB to iPod, the device should then power on.
  3. Continue holding the Home button while iPod starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo.
  4. When you see "Connect to iTunes" on the screen, you can release the Home button and iTunes will display the recovery mode message:
  5. Restore and it'll download ~240mb firmware and you're done
Warning: you will lose all your data
