Question about Frigidaire 24 in. GLD2162RDC Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher
welcome to Fixya.
You said, You just installed the dishwasher and the only cycle it will go through is the rinse cycle. When You turn the dial to any of the other cycles:pots&pans, normal, light wash and upper rack, the start button as well as the heat dry button and the high temp button do not work. only button that will light up when pressed is the delay button. How can you fix this?
Is this your model FDB1050REC2This is a brand new model and you said you just installed it!
If it is brand new!
You do not have to fix it.
You have a full years warranty, parts and labor!let them fix it no cost to you.
The first thing they will do, . You can do your self!
Go to the breaker and turn it off for 5 minutes and then on again. This should reset the system and this usually is the end to most bad starts!

I had the same issue. I tried a lot of different things, including making sure that the arms weren't obstructed, etc.
Then, I switched the breaker off for a few seconds and turned it back on... and it worked ?!?!? I don't know why it happened, but I'm sure glad that fixed it.

WOW! This same thing is happening to me tonight too! The Lock button is lit for me but not the "heat dry". Looking forward to reading what this problem is.

Sounds like the very common control panel issue. They have a tendency to short out due to overheating. It is possible it is the motor is bad, you can test power to motor with a voltmeter. If no power, then try power from control panel to motor. If there is power to motor, than motor is bad.

Possible solution. I had the same problem of "washing" light flashing last year and now today. Warranty has been expired for awhile, so no harm in trying. What worked for my situation was removing the six screws for the back of the plastic control cover. Take of the plastic cover. There are are two connectors to the HANDLE with white and black wires. To be safe I would shut off the ciruit to the dishwasher. Safety first. Carefully disconnect and inspect the contacts inside the connectors. Do not insert any metal objects if you left the power on. I believe that the moisture from the dishwasher can degrade the connectivity. I cleaned the contacts with q-tips and re-installed. Be careful to not bend the contacts. If you had sound, you could hear my dishwasher running. Total cost is about three cents. I believe that the connectors do not full close when corroded, which prevents the completion of the circuit to the controlls. The flashing light indicates that the door is open, when in fact it is closed. Hopefully this will help someone. Semper Fi
