Use RCA cords and place between the turntable and amp. The amp is clearly labeled PHONO.

Fuse blown or a supply rail path broken.

The wire is your ground, look on the back of the receiver you should see a groung screw, usually silver in colour. Attach the wire to the screw and hand tight.

Connect the turntable wires into the recievers phono input and you should be good to go

Look on the back of your tv for the same kind of jacks that are on your old one. Make sure you know what input you will be using for your reciever.

Most of the newer receivers do not have PHONO inputs. You would have to use external pre-amp with the turntable.

You need a belt.. Lift up the record support..(platter) Underneath you will see a metal post.. Belt goes around that and the bottom of the plate.(there is a rim) . If the belt is there, motor might be bad..

the Technics SH-8058 is a beautiful unit, I got one myself for the past 20 years and never failed y EQuing the sound I want.

I am asuming, you got on your reciever TAPE MONITOR... well, the it is simple,

First, just forget about the TAPE on your Techincs SH 5058

Second, on your Technics LINE OUT, goes on your tape monitor LINE IN

and last; on your LINE IN, goes on your tape monitor REC OUT.

Now, choose you desire componet, and turn on your TAPE MONITOR on your reciever...
