My pc is not booting

Hi eric,
Try connecting your laptop to a different monitor to see if it works properly. If it does, then there is most likely a problem with the laptop display assembly. If the external monitor does not work, then the problem may lie with the laptop's video card.

If you power on the computer and the display is black, make sure the computer is booting up. You can do so by checking the LED lights, listening to the fan, and/or listening for the Windows boot up sound. If either of these are functioning properly, your screen may not be working properly. You may take a look at ourToshiba Satellite LCD installation guide to help you replace the screen.Hope this solves your problem please rate my solution if it helped you.

Note:-Make sure that you are careful while working with the screen or Motherboard as there may be chances of shock if you are a novice i recommend to get it serviced by a professional.

Screen does not come ON or not showing any display even the power LED is lit. Sometimes it is due to the laptop was not shutdown properly or the battery was drained or laptop was left idle. This is a simple solution that may fix the problem. If the power LED is lit, turn off the NB, remove all the power sources (battery and charger). Without the power sources, hold the power button for 10 secs and put the power sources back and turn ON the laptop. If this doesn't resolve the problem, it needs to be checked for possible Motherboard problem.

Hope it works!

C 400 Latitude display problem

That LOCK A sysmbol is the caps lock.

Most likely its due to hardware failure. Be sure the battery is holding a charge and the power adapter is working.

It could be bad Ram. Usually when there is nothing at all but a quick light on and off and nothing, its due to motherboard issues or hardware plugged into it. Try removing any CD drives or add in devices.

Good luck

Laptop screen very dark

the screen is not a sealed unit... and the backlight and the lcd bulb can both be changed out...
I do it on a daily basis....

It is way cheaper to change out the lcd bulb than it is to replace the lcd display panel... Way CHEAPER

the results are the same

Gateway 450ROG laptop does not boot

I have a similar problem with my 450rog but I get 3 beeps on startup - everything runs: fan and drives but the screen is blank and the computer dead.
Gateways tech dept told me it was a faulty memory module but I bought a new one and it made absolutely no difference.
So must be something moreserious.
Good luck

Gateway 450ROG CMOS BatterySmall internal battery that maintains calendar and clock settings.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not the battery that powers your laptop; it only maintains certain internal settings. If you need a main battery, please refer to the page on our web site for your laptop model.

CMOS batteries are located on the motherboard; if you are not comfortable with the inner workings of your laptop, you may want to consider having the battery installed by a qualified technician.

Gateway 450rog does not power on

Sounds like a voltage regulator. Have the system diagnosed at a repair shop. Sorry I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but is probably the correct answer.
