Problem for Fuji FinePix J10 Digital Camera

Without warning the screen has produced images

Without warning the screen on turning on has produced images best descrbed as black leaf shapes and it wont take pictures nor clear.
I have had the camera for three years, i was a birthday gift .Hitherto I have been very happy with it.
Please can anyone help explain my problem and suggest remedies

Geoff, From what you tell me, it seem that either the LCD is going, if not gone yet, or the display IC is going. Replacing the LCD is possible, but rectifying an IC is beyond economic repairs. So hope it is the former. And do visit take the camera to the service centre.
