Hi,
Sometimes water (condensation) can get in the gas. If your model has a bowl on the bottom of the carburator, loosen the bolt and ease the bowl down and take it off. You will spill gas out of the bowl but that's ok. look at the spilled gas while you're at it and see if you see beads of water... tell-tale sign of this as being the problem. I'd get a paper towel and dry the bowl out before reassembling. To make sure there's no water in the gas tank, you could loosen the fuel line, drain the gas into a container (preferably glass so you can see if there's water in the bottom of the container, afterwards). If there was water, you might swab the bottom inside of the tank out with a paper towel. Reassemble everything and put in some fresh gas. You might can re-use the old gas, just don't pour the water back in... ha.
I hope this helps... Good luck!

This could be a couple of things, if the fuel tank brather is blocke the tank will vacume, to test this try slackening off the fuel cap when the saw starts to die, if it picks up again it is a fuel tank braether issue, the other possibility is a bad ignition unit breaking down, the only test for this is to replace the unit and try again.

I have a poulan 25cc trimmer (P1500). It's about a year old. Recently, after trimming for 15 or 20 minutes, it tries to stall out... eventually it dies and will restart and run briefly then dies again. Any...

You can check a few things. Either the air filter is plugged up and the carb isn't getting enough air. Or you got a small piece of debris in the carb. Sometimes if it is debris stuck in the carb then you can just keep starting it over and over again and the debris will dislodge itself.

My Poulan runs for a few minutes then idles down shuts off. Get it running again does same thing

Check the governor spring to see if it is streched out or the bracket it attaches to is bent, this can cause the problem. Also the carb may need cleaned and rebuilt,if it contains a diaphram gasket it could be bad causing it to die.

Engine Stalls out

The gas cap may be clogged.

The next time you run the trimmer and it starts to die, loosen the gas cap. If it starts running again, then you know that it's a clogged gas cap.

You may also check the air breather, it may be dirty as well.

If you need further assistance, just let me know.
