Computer doesn't see hd

I installed the drivers. The hd spins up. The computer sees the adapter and (according to the device manager) the hd. I cannot access the hd. It is a WD400LB-55DNA0 drive.

Exact same problem here! Device manager sees USB device, HDD is listed under disk drives but the drive will not show up in My Computer. I have even checked properties on main HDD and see the drive listed under the "hardware" tab as a USB drive. Here, I can select the new HDD and click properties; clicking on the "volumes" tab, I am able to hit "populate" and get info back. This new drive is an Xbox HDD that I am hoping to lock so it will work again in the Xbox. Is it possible it's not showing up because it is not formatted using NTFS???

sort of same issues. documentation is feeble. hd powers up. red light is on. but the new pc doesn't recognize the drive and, obvously doesn't assign a drive letter to it.

i tried reversing the cable, changing the hard drive, using different usb port, re-booting. still doesn't see the drive.

seems that the only common thread through all of these combinations of jumpers, cables, and the like IS THE 2535 ITSELF!

Reinstall the card ensuring it is seated and connected properly.

Start the computer - if you are seeing an image, then the card is working. Go to the device manager and see what display adapter is showing. Right click on the display adapter and select 'Scan for Hardware Changes'. Update drivers.

My pc says no audio output device installed, but in device manager it says its working properly and the drivers are up to date

Well it is possible that the audio driver installed is not the one compatible with you computer board. Try downloading the specific driver needed for your computer's official website. This should solve your problem.

Microsoft ISATAP Adapter This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device.

ISATAP is Microsoft trying to allow IPv6 to function over an IPv4 infrastructure, however, it was released extremely prematurely, and as a result, doesn't like to work, or install. According to Microsoft, your computer should continue to function without ISATAP functioning, and the error message may be ignored. However, if you believe that this may be causing you some problems, then you may navigate to the device manager ( Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager ) from this window, see if you can find ISATAP adapter and 4TO6 adapter, right-click these, and select "Disable" NOTE: this may cause Internet Explorer and Windows Mail to run slower and have a few errors.

I hope this helps!

My computer shows new hardware found but there's no light on the usb adapter and i can't connect to the internet

Make sure that you have installed the necessary drivers needed for it to work. it usually comes with a CD installer that you can use.

If you're done with the driver installation you may check if the device was properly installed under the device manager.

How to go to Device Manager:

1. right click on My Computer
2. select properties
3. go to hardware tab and click Device Manager

You will see all devices installed on your computers and under the Adapter is where the name of your wireless adapter should be listed if it was properly installed.

Hope this helps...
