Where is the Manual Heater Reset Switch on an Amana A/C and Heater Unit Model number PTH093B35AJ? The unit has several stickers that state it has a "Manual Heater Reset Switch".

Almost certainly it is a bad relay on the circuit board. Sometimes you can slap the side of the unit by the control box to temporarily unstick the relay, after which the heat will come on for a cycle or two. There are two relays on the circuit board marked "heater 1" and "heater 2". You can order a new circuit board for about $100 or replace the relays at $4 apiece (order online from Digi-Key, requires solder connections). Part number JTN1a-PA-F-DC5V.

I have a Carrier A/C with remote. It was recently

I do not know the unit. However, I am willing to make a guess. It sounds as if this may be some kind of heat pump. If this is the case, than when you turn on the heat there will be a time delay to prevent compressor damage. Emergency heat skips the compressor and turns on electric heat strips. If my guess is right, you should be able to turn on the furnace and wait 5 minutes and it will start. I hope I am guessing right and you have no problem.

I'm not getting heat from my unit..

the compressor is controled seperately from the fan, this is done with the thermostat, try turning the thermostat on then of or untill you hear the "click" sound from the thermostat. If the compressor is still not turning on this may be more than you can fix if your not familiar with electrical hvac troubleshoting... more than lilkely the thermostat may be bad, or your compressors starting components are failing...if the compressor is comming on when the unit is turned on you could have a freon leak causing no heat. hope this may help some there is just too much to write on the causes this will give you a start though!!

Unit is GQ3RA-036K with H3HK010H-01B heat strip. I have checked continuity on the coils and the temperature switch both check fine. I have measure the voltage on the red and black wires connected to the...

you need to ohm out the heater elements. Its the ohm reading that will give you insight as to whether or not the coils are bad.

When ohming out the elements, be sure to tag and disconnect all electrical leads to the meter...otherwise you will get a false reading.

If the elements read OL, then they are bad. Also, check to see what the voltage is to the heaters. Ensure the voltage supplied corresponds with the unit dataplate.

No power going to my heating/cooling unit. Tried to replace the t-stat and it is not getting any power. Checked the breaker and wiring at unit and t-stat to make sure they are wired correctly. Any help?

Sounds like a low voltage transformer is bad.

Possible bad relay.

One side of the low volt trans will have 115 volts. The other side should have 24 volts.Going to the heater. The t stat completes this circut when calling for heat.

Some units have a reset on them or a small control fuse.Near the low volt trans.

Ruud System not working

Sounds to me like you have an electrical problem (a short of some kind) If you are not familiar with the workings or wireing I would suggest calling another company out and see if they can fix it. Sorry those problems can be hard to diagnose without actually seeing the unit. I wish i could help more.
