E1 error code

i tried everything! e1 wont come off the screen. The remote doesnt work and the unit itself will not turn off unless i unplug it. Tried to reset and nothing turns on still. I even tried the remote for the dvd player and it still doesnt work. (that remote works the ac unit too). I tried unplugging and holding poer button too like the other responses said and nothing comes on but the e1 code and the power button is red as well. Can anyone help?

Air filters are clean too.
