The only pictures that are blurred are on my Internet. None of the pictures I have saved on my pc are affected. How do I fix this?

pictures on web are appearing blurred. Even after downloading they remain blurred.

other pictures saved on hard disc are crystal clear. By pressing CTRL F5, the images clear but one can not keep doing that.

    The dpi setting is 96.

I am using WINDOWS XP SP2 and IE 7.

    Please help....

You may have compression software, such as Venturi, running on your system. This software speeds up downloads by compressing images, but images look a little fuzzy or blurred.

I have a vivitar vivicam f314 camera and 90% of the photos i take are blurry.there was no manual with the camera so i was wondering if you could help me with the settings so that my photos are good?thank...

ok try changing the pic size your saving your photos as. 4 x 6 is standard. also the more you use the digital zoom the more blurry its going to get. also the subject matter your trying to take pics of may be the problem. try changing your menu functions to sports or action. i am not sure if this helps any but this seems to be the main faults to blurry images other than dirty lenses or film over the lens.

Bakground of the photo is a bit blurry

this is, in most cases, a desired effect (bokeh) which is used to "detach" the subject from the background avoiding the viewer of the picture to be distracted by the background. This technique is widely used in portraits. This effect effect will be more pronounced when the lens is wide open (in your case it should be f/3.5 if I remember well...). To practice you may try the following: set you camera to "A" mode and take one picture of something (it should not be a landscape) using the smallest aperture after this take the same pic using the biggest aperture. With the lower f number you should get a blurry background and with the biggest the backgroud should be in focus!

REPAIR

OK guys, it seems to be the lenses motor which for some reason burns out. I put a Nikkor 50mm 1.4 mm AF(great lens by the way) on the d200 body and it works fine. I sent the 18-200 in for repair and I won't tell you how much they wanted to charge me to fix it, thank God it's still under warrantee. Suggest you all try out another AF lens on the D200 body to see how that works. If ok then send in your boom lens and pray that your not over the 1 year warrantee limit.
