Question about HP Photosmart C3180 All-In-One InkJet Printer

i can´t install my photosmart C3180 on my Windows XP.
when it comes to the ' connect your device now ' screen, it doesen't find the printer ( the only button available is the 'help' one).
i tried in all my USB ports - same problem.
for the record, i had an old HP 640c installed - the driver still in PC...

go to > your computer on the desktop
right click on it > properities > hardware Tab click device manager
right click uninstall printer port and reboot let it reinstall printer port and then connect printer to usb, if that doesnt work you will have to enter your bios and check your printer setting to make sure it set for Bi talking.

Hope this helps. Be sure the USB port at BIOS setting are enable. And also, you have to update the USB device or uninstall the unknown error (it may contain missing USB driver). Restart the computer and place your motherboard CD installer in the CDROM browse the folder where the USB driver is located. You have to resolve first this error before proceeding to next possible steps. Another way of installing printer or any USB devices; Dettached first the USB cable connecting to PC or laptop, Install the driver (CD installer) when prompt to connect the USB cable connect the cables and turn the printer on, browse manually where the file being looked and is located.
