We are able to hook the back right hand side corner back on but it will fall back off again. question is do we replace the straps or is it something else. If we do replace it or need a better way to get it back on then what are those directions? currently we take the front panel off and my husband lies on the ground and I hold up the tub while from the ground he puts it back in place.
Replace the round black rubber straps. There are 4 of them, one in each corner. These help the drum from going crazy. Also, if you don't replace them, you will end up cracking the outer tub. It will crack when it hits the side panels. This will cost you more to fix than buying a new machine.

we have a GE model #WHRE5260E1WW that stops in mid cycle and must be started with the push start/ stop and pause switch. This may or may not happen several times during the course of running a single load? We haven't been able to isolate a series of circumstances that would cause this to happen. However, by accident ...the washer lid slip from my hand while filling and did cause the washer to shut off, just after all the phase lights flashed on, then went out as the washer stopped, as if the vibration cause it to stop, perhaps because of loose a connection! After carefully closing the lid, I tapped on the panel face, not on the cycle control knob itself, but on the metal, on both side! Starting out with light taps with my finger tips only and gradually increasing the strength of the taps I was able to get the"cycle light" to flash and then go out! I'm not sure what that proves, but it seems to me that just by tapping at that area shouldn't cause those results. The control board is a printed circuit with only couple of wiring terminal connectors, male /female type, which all appeared to be tightly plugged together, as well as the remaining spade type single wire connections. Now unless there is a hairline crack in the printed circuit board that I didn't or couldn't see, a board component...I give up! I will say that I'm relieved to read that others have had the same or a similar sounding problems!!! problems

GM whdrr418e1ww need to remove top. I don't see where it attaches. It sounds like a hose is hitting the outside of the drum when it agitates.
