Emmanuelr is spot on with this advice. The dishwasherr had been idle for a few months so as advised disconnected and reconnected the connection to the water flow meter and job done. My friend you are a scholar and a gentleman thank you so much. You are not an apprentice to me.

F7 means lack of water. It could be caused from dirty (internal) filter or chocked water pipe

What does the F7 code mean for my whirlpool dishwasher ADG6230

F7 or 7 times flashing
Flow meter failure

Water inlet valve (WV1) is switched on and the water indicator (WI) is on (level reached).

  • Water tap closed during water inlet
  • Water inlet hose blocked
  • Water inlet valve (WV1) defective (mesure resistor ca 3,5 kOhm)
  • Flow meter (FM) sends too few / much pulses (less than 10 imp. in 10 seconds). Flow meter counts wrong (or the sump is full in less than 30 second).

Causation: Hose felt down and slipped the disc of the valve. The effect is a displacment of the valve tapped.
  • Aquastop defective
  • Flow meter (FM) defective

What does erroe f7 mean?

This error indicates a fault with the water flow meter. F7 means inlet flow meter malfunction
Remove the left panel and check the flow meter, try to unplug it and plug it again.
If not OK, change the part, If you have checked the sump filter at the bottom of the dishwasher, then close the door and turn on the power. Then hold the start button with the + and - buttons under the LCD display, until the drain pump starts. This should then reset the dishwasher.

Pease get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.
