Iphone 4s screen not bright even when moved to brightest setting

Choose Brightness and turn Auto-Brightness on or off. If Auto-Brightness is on, iPhone adjusts the screen brightness for current light conditions

Bright blue patch in center of screen.

The optical block is going bad. Contact Sony support and have your model and serial numbers handy. Sony sometimes warranties these even after the 1yr factory warranty.

The screen is too dark to read anything though the power comes on. i tried to increase the brightness but did not work NEED HELP!!!

Sounds like your backlight or inverter is on its way out. You can pick one up on ebay.  Google how to check backlight/inverter issues with your model.

Laptop screen is very dark even though harddrive is running fine

There are several reasons this could be happening but lets try adjusting your brightness/contrast settings.

Go to; Start Menu > Control Panel > Power Options
You should see something like this.

On the left hand side of the screen select Adjust the Display Brightness. You should see somthing like this.

Now just play with the brightness settings until you get the desired effect.

Also, make sure you don't have the brightness settings too low for your off battery settings. This could be a reason as to why your having this issue. If this doesn't fix the problem, let me know.

Sansa e260 Screen is too bright

Cannot do anything else but adjust the brightness - the Sansa player has the opposite of the other player's problems - most players are too dim.

Monitor problem

Sounds like you have a coincidental hardware failure. The reset button usually sets the monitor to factory default which is good in most uses. A rolling pattern on the screen is occasionally due to electronic interferrence such as a mobile phone in the vacinity. As you say your screen is fading completely suggests a hardware failure and nothing to do with your pressing the reset. If your monitor is less than 3 years old (standard screen warranty) I would contact the manufacturer and they may send you a new one.
