Perform a hard reset on your device by pressing and holding your lock screen/power button until your device powers off. If this doesn't solve your problem please set your phone to airplane mode for ten seconds, and then turn it he airplane mode back off. Airplane mode can be accessed through your cell phones settings.
You don't seem to have specified the make and model number of your microwave oven. I'm at best guessing. Try pressing the Stop/Reset button repeatedly, until you see it unlock. If that doesn't work, try unplugging it, which might reset all the settings, or leave you equally bad off. I know how frustrating it is to have appliances mysteriously lock themselves. Good luck.
If the Demo mode is appearing on the Reader and you're not able to do anything in the Reader, it seems that there is an internal issue occurred with the Reader. However, since you've already performed soft reset and hard reset with the Reader, the service of the Reader is the only available options. The PRS700 Reader is covered under the Sony exchange program. This exchange is for the same or comparable model. Please follow the below mentioned link to get it repaired or exchanged from Sony: http://eservice.sony.com
The E Journal is accessed in the X-Z mode. By going to the X-Z mode and choose umber 4 to reset. Next there should be a screen that show the E-Journal. HIghlight and press yes. Now is the fun part. If you want it to print and it will print for what seems forever, press ALL if you just want to reset press reset only and I think 2 more yes's will do the trick. To get back to the main screen press escape 3 times and press REF MODE!
XP or Vista ? Go to Network - Properties - the network card. Make sure you have "Get network address automatically" DOS box type ipconfig /all what's it say. There are viruses that can kill TCP/IP Get a copy of LSPfix It will check your TCP/IP programs. I did have one XP machine that lost it's network setting, could never get it running without a reinstall. If Linyx works, it's not the card.

Hey the same kind of problem happened to me last week and I was sorely pissed off. These cameras are not cheap to buy when they are new. Anyway I was looking up the number of the local service agent and turned my camera on to check something. Just by chance I found that if I touch the button on top for taking the picture and then simultaneously press the menu button I got access to my whole camera again! Now when I say touch I mean touch...lay your finger on the button do not press it even to the first stage, which is auto focus. It worked for me and if it works for you post your result to benefit anyone else who comes across this problem. Future.
