Question about Philips 51PW9363 51" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

No Sound or Picture, Chirping Noise coming from back

Went to turn on the TV and the red power light behind the button came on ok but no sound or picture. And about every second theres a chirp type sound coming from the back. Took of the panel to locate the source but couldn't get ear close enough to anything to tell. The few fuses I saw looked ok. If anyone knows what the problem is and if that chirping is a confirmation of it, I would greatly appreciate the help. Thank You.

I have the same problem. The chirping sounds like it is coming from one of the circuit cards attached to one of the the tubes(there are three{RBG}). I figured it was the power supply that the chirping is coming from. Maybe a transformer. I was getting a range of 125V to these cards. I get the High Voltage(295V-310V) after the fuse though(the one on the PSU). I don't have any schematics so it's kinda hard to see any of the paths and what the voltage should be. I pulled out the PSU, and the board with the auto convergance, IC card, WVBHOP. Could it be the IC card? Is there a way to get these parts somewhere? Am I looking in the right place? Thanks.

There are many other fuses on this board you need to check them all. May need a schematic.

chirping sound is a short of some kind, could be the flyack or horizontal output, could also be a bad picture tube or power supply capacitors, you really need a tv repairman to troubleshoot this.

My samsung TV won't show any picture/sound.

When the TV is on, need to check the back light is on(go back side & look into through)

If the back light is on -- need to exchange the Main Board
no back light -- exchange the Power Board --- 95%
exchange the LCD panel --- 5%(inverter)

RCA 52 INCH D52W20B WON'T COME ON

A 1995 60 inch rca good picture and sound. Then it started a cracking noise and a hissing sound, then the picture went blurry. then it was nice picture and sound, then it died. took the back off and turned out the lights. Plugged the tv in and out from the wall socket and there was a sparking noise and a small arc when i plugged it in and out a few times ,at the part that the power plug plugs into. The white part that is beside the white power plug part has thick red wire coming out of it and goes into another plug that has more red wires in it. but the big white part beside the power plug part looks burnt and has black powder on it. that part is probably the problem but maybe not, what it the name of that part and how much would it cost and is it plugged in or soldered.

No picture, no sound, just chirping noise coming from back

NO - - signal did nothing to the set... Sounds like a shorted HOT (horizontal output transistor) and the feedback your hearing (chirp) is on the horz. transformer as it tries repeatedly to startup... Don't allow it to do that for too long...

No picture on screen, chirping noise every second from back

again a good set the deflection modules on these sets are pretty reasonable you need to have a tech swap it but i highly suggest that than a new one the chirping is the set trying to start up but going into shut down
