dvd player does not play dvd. it says that it "does not read that type of disk. please insert another disk"....help! : ) we have everything else hooked up correctly (we think). it just spins the dvd for a while then won't play it.

Is the disk a copy of something?, you may have an older dvd player that doesn't recognize some of the newer formatted disks
