Question about Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V2000 Notebook
The connector for the power pack is faulty and I find it difficult to get the Laptop to charge
I have a similar problem. Also, I cannot get the laptop to power up with the mains charger plugged in - have to remove it, power up, replace it.
And if the laptop is turned off & mains power supply is disconnected for more than 15minutes the battery drains completely and the laptop will not turn on again until it has been recharged from the mains to "green power supply" status (usually 20-30mins charging) - not very helpful for a supposedly portable item!
Now I have reached a point where there is no charging happening when the mains supply is connected and I currently don't know if it caused by faulty battery, adapter or ac jack...its an expensive process to elimitate..I'm going to try new battery first, I'm hoping thats the cause - unless anyone has had a similar experience and can shed light on the issues?
Please whe you change the battery and it does not solve the problem try replacing the "brick" probably the "brick" is not doing its job properly.

Tips for a great answer:
Symptoms of a broken power jack
1. If you wiggle the power cord or the AC Adapter connector on the back of the laptop, the power LED and battery charge LED start to flicker.
2. Battery will not charge in the laptop.
3. Laptop runs fine off a charged battery.
4. With the AC Adapter connected the laptop appears to be dead.
No power LED or battery charge LED activity.
5. Laptop randomly powers off without any warning.
If your laptop is out of warranty, then you can fix the problem by re-soldering DC-IN jack on the system board. If it
