I have been buring cds but only some of them work in my car cd player. i have played them in 3 others and they are fine. I thought these were a good quality cd . I have been using nero to burn these. ...

CD-RW is the best and make sure you get data discs. The RW means rewritable. Costs more but is a better CD. Older stereos have a problem reading the data if they are MP3 versus Media. Nero is an excellent program. When you burn make sure you have the program confirm it is readable. Takes longer to burn but then you know it works.

I have burned cd and my sharp cd-c444 wont play it. why

Check what format you burned the songs from. Some formats, like MP3, mpg, among others will not play on all stereo systems. When you burn the songs, make sure that MP3 is not the format for the Sharp system, and that in fact, mpg is. I hope that solves your problem.

CD's won't play on Home & Car stereo after Burning

I may add alot of times older equipment has a hard time reading burned cd's because when ever burning cd's the pits that are burnt into the cd are shallow. The faster the cd burns the more shallow it is... one thing you can try to do is burn at 2x in the WAV format cause it most diffenately will not read mp3 format being that old equipment. You may get lucky burning at 2x because the pits that it burns in the cdrom will be deeper. As the clarification said do use CD-R's. If this doesn't work at 2x chances are that equipment is just not going to be able to read a burnt cd period. Good Luck!!! I hope this works for you!!!

Can not burn disk on laptop

Will the disc play in your PC or another PC when it is put in there?
Will someone elses burned CD's play in your stereo?
If so, then there may be an additional step when you burn the disc called "finalizing" that will complete the burn on the disc in a way that will prevent any more songs from being added to it, but will make it readable in many more devices.
This usually is either a checkbox or an option pops up after the disc is burned (I don't know about i tunes software for sure).
Since a lot of older stereos cannot play burned CD's there is still a chance this will not work for you.

''i want to burn mp3 music on cd for my car stereo, but it won't p

if you went to 'audio burning' in nero and chose 'audio cd' then you should really not have any problems because it will play on any cd player. If you still have trouble with this though try burning an audio cd in windows media player instead. Create a playlist, it cannot be longer than 70 mins (i normally max at 68 minutes) then select burn playlist. This should play in your car with no problems.

I hope this helps

Burning CD's

The problem is the format, car stereos use a different format than computers do for reading discs. You can try formatting the burn process for the type of stereo (usually an MP format will work) or try different burning software, I've found that Nero works better than Windows for burned music CD's for the CD player in my Caddy, and I don't have to format. You might be able to find Nero at
