I believe that is a Whirlpool brand.
Unplug unit. Check to be sure you have 240 Volts at wall outlet.
Most parts likely to fail are inside the rear cover. Heater is on right inside can, safety thermostat on lower left of can, High limit thermostat (non-resettable) higher left of can. On the blower housing to the left are the operating thermostat and a thermal fuse (white plastic). ALL can be continuity checked easily. Always disconnect wire on one side of what you are testing. One will likely be open.
Only other parts in the heat system are the timer and heat selector switch in the upper control panel. They are NOT likely the cause of your problem.
Remove the rear panel to access the thermostats and relays. Use a volt/ohm meter set for ohms(continuity) remove the wires and check the thermal fuse on the top portion of the heat canister. Remove the wires and Check the high limit thermostat at the heater terminal connection. Both these should read continuity. If not, replace both, they usually come as a set.
If both are good remove the wires from the heater and check continuity. If none, replace the heater.
Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.
if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....
If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.
check out this electric no heat tip...
