I just bought a used InFocus 61 inch dlp tv. When we looked at it at the guy's house there was a small shadowy blob in the middle of the screen, but we didn't feel it was a big deal so we bought it. When we unloaded the tv at our house and turned it on, we now have a large shadow in the upper left corner of the screen that tapers all the way across the top to the right corner of the screen. It DEFINITELY wasn't there before. The little blob is still there as well, I think the two issues are unrelated, but both still need solving.
Someone is going to have to look inside by either removing the rear upper part of the set or removing the entire front screen---neither is easy to do. But considering your trouble I would not be surprised if the mirror is cracked---the entire front screens would have to be removed to replace the mirror--special mirror and special handling--I have seen several break when someone is not careful putting in.

Good thought, but it isn't giving me lines, just a curved shadow tapering from the upper left to upper right corner. If it is the mirror that was damaged though, how should I go about fixing it?
you may have cracked or damaged the mirror in transport--usually it will give a diagonal line effect
