Player will only play track #1

My player will only play track 1...all other tracks nothing except a neverending 'clicking'. This happens regardless of the CD.

Maybe your "play once" option or "repeat" option is activated, try and check it and get it back to normal play...

Hello
Check the CD for any defect. Hold it against light and see whether there is any tiny spots. If the CD is faulty this kindl of fault can occur. OK.

After uploading all my musci on to my mp3 player when i go to play my music and the albums without track names that are just named track 1, track 2, track 3, and so on are out of order because they are...

You can copy these tracks back onto your computer, delete them off your MP3 player.
Rename each track to the song name and then copy them back onto the MP3 player

CD player skips on early tracks

The lens assembly in a CD player glides along on a two rail track, kinda like a railroad track except tubular. The lens carriage is moved over this track by a small motor driving a worm gear. (Think long, tubular and spiral). If the rail tracks or the worm gear dry up or have dust accumulating on them, this could be the cause. Normally they have a light gear oil or lithium grease on them to keep them lubricated.

Playlist problems

The only way you can get the tracks to play in order is to rename them before you put them on the player.

eg.

Album title - 01 - Track name
Album title - 02 - Track name
Album title - 03 - Track name

Album title - 10 - Track name

and so on

The albums will stay together, and the track number will put them in order within each album. Just remember to use 2 digit track numbers or they will sort 1, 10, 11, 12, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9

My SA6025 damaging mp3 files!

Make a note of skipping tracks & check these tracks play ok on the PC - this will rule out corrupted tracks.
Skipping of entire tracks can be due to DRM copy protected tracks (purchased on-line). Some players will not play DRM tracks.

You can check for protected tracks.
  • In Windows Explorer, go to the folder where the tracks are stored on your PC.
  • Click on View -----> Details
  • Right click on the header bar in the right hand window and select protected. (If protected is not listed click on More)
  • Tracks will be listed with No or Yes under protected. Check your skipping tracks are listed as No, under protected.
If none of this helps, install and run the Philips Device Manager. Select the repair / restore option and follow the on-screen prompts. This will format the player, ruling out a corrupt file system on the player, and re-load the firmware.

Player stuck in scan mode

Hi...

Unplug it from the wall...give it a couple minutes. Try playing a CD again (using manual controls) If that works , your remote might be the issue.

If you bought the thing new you paid good $$ for it.

It's worth having it looked at by a Pro.
