Sometimes spark plug boots are VERY hard to remove you can try twisting them at the spark plug as you apply upward force. The way I access rear plugs is from the underside of the vehicle. Make sure you use the correct size spark plug socket to break plugs loose. The socket is special design not to damage the plugs.Your local parts store should sell aspark plug boot remover tool that can help they should cost around $10.00

Replace spark plugs

If you have the 3.0 liter you can rep,ce the air cleaner housing from the back side of the engine and get to the rear spark plugs. The other two v-6 options the rear plugs need to be done from underneath the vehicle.

Spark plug

OK, I'm going to give a little tough love here since you are asking questions that would indicate you haven't changed spark plugs before. If this is the first time you have changed plugs, you really need to enlist a friend that can guide you thru the process - its an easy job, but things CAN go wrong. A spark plug insulator can break when removing or installing the plug, The plug can cross thread and damage or even ruin the cylinder head leading to an expensive repair, Wires can get re-installed incorrectly, Do you have a gap tool to check the electrode gap? Sorry for the long diatribe. I just don't want to give advice that will cause you problems. Please reassure me!

How do you get the back three spark plugs out to replace on a dodge caravan yr 2000

My information says to remove the windshield wiper/motor module assembly from the vehicle for access to the spark plugs on the firewall side. When We owned our '99 Grand Voyager, I put the front up on jack stands and got the back three plugs from underneath.

2006 Dodge Caravan 3.8 V-6: check engine light on

The P0456 code has nothing to do with spark plugs. It's an EVAP (emissions) code. Best bet is to read up on the suggested solutions for that exact code: P0456

How do I replace Spark Plugs in a 2000 Caravan

Use a socket wrench and a plug socket. They can be purchased at any hardware store. The back ones always are the worst you just want the engine to be nice and cold and take your time.

How do i change the rear spark plugs in a dodge 2005 caravan 3.8 engine

There are tow ways to get to the plugs, You can get to them from the top or from the bottom. There's quite a bit a bit of room in the transmission tunnel, and you can reach up and actually touch the plugs. There is trouble with the "alternator plug" (#1) , Hard to reach it from below, and you may ended up removing the alternator bracket and shoving the alternator back.
From the top end,  removed the windshield wipers/cowl assembly, the intake plenum, remove the bracket from the alternator, easy, and the hardest part is just removing the bracket holding a wire harness from the back of the plenum, the bolts are a little hard to get to due to the a/c lines, but after they were out the plenum removed with ease and I replaced the back plugs(with champion double platinum RN14PMP5 OEM's) and replace the spark plug wires with BWD Selects. They are very good wires. Used anti-seize of course. Mounted the wire harness bracket back, put the plenum(with new gasket), vacuum lines, sensors, and alt.bracket back on then changed out the front ones. Replaced Wipers and your good to go.

Note: if from the bottom  rotate the alternator to get the pass side and from below to get the middle and drivers side. You can use a jack stands and a creeper. Takes about an hour. Yes it's a PITA but, going from below greatly reduces the chance of spinning a bolt head off or breaking something else in the process of getting to the plugs. No special tools needed.   Good luck and if your lazy like i am just change the front ones and have a local shop replace the rear, they have the lift and will only cost an hour shop rate in your area. $65.00/hour average

1997 dodge caravan spark plug change procedure

With the engine cold, I think you take your 5/8 spark plug wrench, proper extensions, wobble joint (where needed) & 3/8 or 1/2 ratchet & remove 1 plug wire & plug at a time (In case you don't know the firing order or have the book, or don't have numbers on the plug wires at the ign module). The plugs in the front are easy to change, the back ones are a lot more difficult. I an assuming you have something like a 3.3 engine. (I have 3) While you are at it, check your small emissions hoses & vac hoses & belts. Rick
