D1260 indesit dishwasher

Light 1 and 2 flash and the applience stops and will not empty. Have tried cleaning the filter but no good. I read that it may be the pump which requires to be cleaned but( it is integrated ) I dot not know where the pump is or how to clean it.

Re: D1260 indesit dishwasher

The pump is situated underneath at the right hand back of the machine, you will need to remove the right hand panel to gain access. its not an easy job as it will probably need replacing. a local engineer should charge around 60-70 gbp

Indesit dishwasher idl40 s I have lights 1 and 3 flashing after shortly staring it's cycle. Then it empties and stops but there is no water hardly when I open the door. Any ideas please??

It would appear that the washer is not getting water, though it could be aborting the cycle early for some reason.

Try to google "Indesit dishwasher idl40s lights 1 & 3 flashing", and various permutations to see what others have said. At the least you need to understand what that pattern of lights flashing means.

There is an electric valve that the washer controls to allow it to fill with water when needed. This may be clogged or may have failed.

Pursue the flashing light issue first so you understand what the washer is complaining about.

I have an indesit dishwasher. It starts for 2 mins & then stops and then lights flash. I've had the plumbing checked and that's all fine. If it is the anti-flood where do I find it & how do I fix it

You need to understand what the washer is complaining about. Try to find the error on the web (Google it).

You checked the plumbing, and it is all fine. So who checked the plumbing & why did they not complete the troubleshooting? The plumbing is fine - means there are no Geysers springing from the pipes? How about a clogged inlet valve? How about the internal filter (which it sounds a lot like to me)? Take the internal filter out and clean it by hand.

Google "indesit anti-flood" to start tracking down how to deal with this eventuality.

Good Luck,

First two lights of four are flashing

when my ones lights flashed (lights 2 and 4) I thought it was def broken, i then discovered it was a knife in the top tray stopping the shower from spinning. worth a try- make sure its empty when you test it.

Indesit IDL 50 Dishwasher

Had a similar problem (flashing lights 1 and 2). Drained the machine by diconnecting the outlet hose and using a shallow bowl on the floor. Removed and cleaned filters. Forced clean water through by using a garden hose pipe(you can only do this one way, you cannot force water down the outlet pipe). Removed and cleaned the pump (you have to do this from under the machine but easy enough). Finally ensuring the waste trap under the sink was clear. Bingo!! No parts, no expensive engineer.
