Question about Xerox Phaser 8500/DN Printer
No display ever is a problem brought on by plugging into a power strip with surge protection, or into any sort of surge protection. THey (and HP, too) require, not just recommend, you plug it into its own outlet.
If you call tech support, they may send you a new panel for free.
The paper jam is a separate issue, but at least if teh display is working, you can see where!
