Yes, there are 4 screws securing the screen frame, two on each side. And lift carefully, a couple inches, to clear the 4 clips, two on each side of the screen.

Thank you for the help!

I was wondering if you ever got any more instructions for replacing the screen. I, too, need to replace a tv screen...Toshiba 65 inch. Were these instructions helpful or accurate? Do you have anything to add? I would really appreciate the help

Lift off the speaker covers and you will see 4 screws around each speaker. remove those. Remove the plastic strip that goes across the bottom.

Also will see screws that hold the front bezel on the the Case, I believe there is 3, remove all those screws and lift lightly so you dont break the bezel clips.

Then put back together in the same way.

You have damaged the outer protective screen. Only replacement will fix. Water only on a damp cloth should be used to clean. However, the outer screen can be changed. Since the tv is almost new you will have to contact Samsung at www.samsungparts.com through customer service at 1-800-627-4368 9AM to 8:30PM Eastern time. When changing the outer screen be sure to never touch the inner screen after removal. You have to take the back off the set to get to the screws holding the baziel or "plastic frame" to remove the outer screen. I have never taken a screen off of a set that new so I advise you exercise patience when removing. Have the product code ready for customer service to locate the proper protective screen. And serial number.

This tv problems u can't fix it easily,u must take the tv aparts and change an electronic board that call the T-CON board to fixed this problems. If this problems double or triple images not causes by U or an objects by outer forces hitting the LCD screen panel itself,if yes this problems causes by U or an objects by outer forces hitting LCD screen panel itself. This tv problems can't not be repair, because the LCD screen panel itself it is dead and damages leaking radiation,if got hit by an outer forces,if screen damages by outer forces, this tv only can used as salvage tv for it electronic circuit boards for other tvs for as parts only now, because if the tv require a new LCD screen panel will cost the same as a new tv.This T-CON board sit at the bottom in the middle of the tv LCD screen panel.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy an refurbish T-CON board for the replacement.

go to radio shack get a 12 volt 1500ma power supply with I belive it is a N% plug end but any how 800 ma to 1500 ma should run this and the plug end is standard plug with plus 12 volts on the inner side and negitive on the outer case side look at the back of the TV or the old power supply it sould have info on voltags and amprage, and the plug as to inner voltage and outer voltage on the plug any old time radio shack or electronics shop should be able to help you bring in the flat screen if need be as if you know its 12 volts then It wont mater weather you use a 1000ma 1500ma 12 volt ubnaversale power pack as the tv will only use the current needed so more MA is good the only concrn you have is the right mini barrle plug and the right side of +/- voltage on that mini plug being most use + voltage in the inner most circle and - 12 volts on thje outer

Plasma work fine but outer screen cracked.

it's hard not seeing the 'crack' but basically a real crack will allow the (plasma) gas to escape. if that happens just forget it and buy a new one if out of warranty.

if it really seems as tho there is a crack in the glass, I would just enjoy it while you can, and try not to ever move the TV as it may totally go at that point.

if under warranty get a tech out to the house before it expires. make them come out in this case rather than bring it in for the aforementioned reason.

Scratch

hello, if there is a scratch on your reflective outer glass panel screen, it can be replaced if you are handy with tools or diy i happen to have the screen removal manual for this tv model th42pz700u you dont have to dissasemble the tv just the outer front housing remove the back panel and theres some screws that hold the front casing on those come of and the front refelctive glass can be removed without any trouble or dissasembly of the internals just the front casing
you may need to find a selling as is plasma tv with a broken internal screen usually they are this way that outer screen dosent break easily so unless you want to pay 489 for this reflective glass part i would try and find a 'for parts or repair 42 inch pany' they will fit if they are the same size make sure the outer screen is not broken or scratched. hope this help

Tv has lost two outer sides of vision despite changing picture mode

That's either a high voltage problem, or a deflection problem. WARNING, CRT Based Televisions have potently life threatening voltages inside them, and should be serviced by trained personnel only. With that out of the way. According to http://www.repairhelper.com It's a capacitor failure Fault - Width and E/W correction fault Remedy - Replace R626 and C630 I don't have a manual so I can't tell you for sure what the resistor and capacitor do, or where they are located.
