Problem for Panasonic (CQVD7001UR) Car Video Player

Power is on but screen is blank

I bought this deck from ebay but it didn't come with the remote...when i installed it the power works and it turns on and everything, but when i open the screen the screen comes out but it's blank...do i need the remote to turn it on instead of simply pressing mode(power)?

-   my panasonic indash video player works too but when the screen comes out it shows nothing but a black screen.i also do not have the remote...-   kizzle08
