the phone I have never came with a CD for the computer... I have tried everything to try to put music onto it. I can get music onto the removable SD card, but it wont transfer over to the phone itself, it just says the file type is not compatible with the phone... this is BS!!! Ive tried changing the file type from a "mp3" to a "amr" to a "midi" to this and that and NOTHING works.... I dont understand. my music player will play the music that I put on the removable SD card, but it wont copy over to my phone because its "unrecognized" ??? how does that even make sense???

My nokia 6600 cannot play mp3 files

The mp3 files you have may not be decoded by the player or the software in the phone.transfer the files to a computer and convert them to ordinary mp3s and then load them back on to the phone.they will play just fine.

or you can download nokia 6600 ultra mp3 player and install it.just Google for it.

I just purchased a basic, music only mp3 player. It is a generic brand. I am having a problem transferring music from cds on my computer to the player, Can you help?

What you first need to do is to convert your CD to MP3 using software such as Music Match Jukebox or Windows Media Player

AFter that you just have to drag the MP3s from your computer into the Mp3 player via My computer

Transferring music onto mp3 player

Use Creative's Media Explorer which came with the player. Click on "add media", then select which files you wnat to transfer. This applies to MP3 files but if you have loaded CD's onto the PC in their original format, you will need to convert them to MP3s.

You don't have to convert anything about the mp3s at all. Just move them over there without conversion.

Computer does not acknowledge player

In posing the problem, since the CD was still in the PC after setting up the program for Zen V Plus I wrongly assumed that the drivers had been loaded. Between the FAQ on the Creative site and FixYa, I updated the Windows Media Player, checked and reloaded the drivers and followed the bouncing ball directions to get the little bugger going, Thanks.

When i dowload music on to my mp3, some music doesnt show up

Check the bitrate of the songs which didn't make it. If they are too low they are ignored. Also some machines won't tolerate VBR MP3s (variable bitrate) Downloading songs off the Internet can be the cause of this problem. Not all people converting music to MP3s for the Internet use the same specifications. In future keep an eye on the bitrates of the music. Many people use lower rates so they can fit more on their computers but the portable players don't always like them. BMW
