Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.

Well, now I had another problem. I plugged it into my computer with a half a battery left to charge and three hours later it still remained at 50% full. So I had to format it AGAIN and now it seems to be charging okay.
But here is the odd part. Before I formatted it again, I had plugged it in in MTP mode, disconnected it and it did not freeze on me like it has been. I plugged it in again and disconnected it several times and no freezing.
What I am wondering and no one else has been able to help me with this- could there be songs on there that could be messing up the internal system?
Also....yeah this is a really dumb question, but will the battery display some kind of sign when it is done charging? Because I can plug mine in with a full charge but it will still show it charging.
Forgot to mention that it will not charge in MTP mode only. It still will charge if I plug it in MSC.
Awarty- Well....I did look at it, but the Zune was a bit out of the price range I was looking for. And the one time I did see one for $100 in a ad magazine, they were gone before I even got the advertisement. I'm looking at the Sony Walkman or an Apple refurbished Nano right now.
