Hi I have a I-Mate Jasjar. I previously used an O2 SIM and had no problems. I have now moved to another carrier and there is no service - and I understand that I now need to contact the maunufacturers of I-Mate (THC?) in order to get an unblocking code. any thoughts on this and whether this sounds right?

PUK codes are the codes that are used in unblocking a sim card after entering wrong codes three times or the amount of times the network permits you to enter the code.
It is used in securing sim cards so not just anyone will be able to have access to sim card when it is blocked. Except for the person that has the PUK code. It simply means Personal Unblocking Key codes.
It is found in the sim pack. Once a sim card is purchased, it comes in a pack with a user manual, then the sim card carrier where you break out the Sim card from, then the case in which it is packed in. The PUK code mostly used to be on the Sim card carrier. It mostly used to be 8 digits or depending on the amount the sim card provider wants it to be, and found right under the pin code on the Sim carrier.
It is not far fetched, just check on your Sim card carrier and you will find the PUK codes.
i need the origanl rom too.i lost my rom and my fone is just showing me balck secreen and no display as i did hard reset but in vain. pls pls help me if you find any link where i cold get the rom for my jasjar.
Simply, tap your device and go to Connections > check the networks and let you select the networks manually and automatic. if still doesn't work, Insert your sim card to other mobile phone and see if you still don't have your signal. Maybe the sim card was damaged. If not, perhaps the phone has it. Anyway, does your phone locked to another network provider? pls check.
i got the same problem on Jasjar. i took it at the campany they told me that i just have to change the battery and the battery its just like 30 $ and now it still working.. but.. to not have this problem again.. when ur battery is dead.. u have to charge it from the elecricity not from USB computer. and good luck:D
1st thing to do is that, if you know how to disassemble your jasjar try to align the four connections behind the LCD or try to resolder it. If still not working, 2nd thing to do is you must change your Touch screen sensor. If you know how to change the sensor it's much better but if not, then you have to go to a mobile technician. Hope I help you with my idea on your problem there....
