Re: Distorted sound

Sounds like you have a bad speaker or where the mounts for the speaker are broke.

Distorted sound

It is very possible that a speaker is bad. If you have the connections, try connecting external speakers to the TV to see if it still has the distortion. If so, then the audio output on the TV is bad.

Sound quality is distorted

Yes, if set is sitting on hard surface you will get this type of issue---also consider the speakers are fairly small so if Bass is set up too high this can also happen---

Check to see if set has settings like HALL etc as these will also create issues.

Popping noise and now the sound is distorted. its like a static and vibration coming from the speakers. why is this happening? how do i fix it?

The audio output section of your TV has damaged. The set need a through checkup, before replacing this board; especially to the voltage input to it, from the power supply board need special care.

Samsung LE26R7 4BD, approx 4 years old, colour distortions

Check all of your cables on the back of the tv and your sources such as Cable,Sat box and DVD palyer to make sure they are fully inserted into the input and output connectors. Some times Component cables will work loose and you end up with a missing color. Temprature changes can affect intermittant connections. If that does work then you have a bad Main bd.

LG flat screen TV speakers make a vibrating noise

I have this problem with my 37LG30.
They all seem to have the same factory flaw.
The plastic bezel and rear is vibrating against itself I have found.

Tonight, just now, I just took all the front bezel screws out,(from the back) loosened the other 4 big screws in the rear center(I don't recommend removing them)and loosened the stand screws also and tried separating the bezel from the back as I went around the set. This did not really help much except around the bottom where the noise/vibrating comes from-the speaker area.
The two plastic pieces are vibrating against one another.
The vibrating was coming from the speaker area without doubt.
The next thing was to try separating at the bottom where the speakers are with my fingers and a stiff metal nail file carefully..fingers seemed to work best for me.
As I separated the front bezel from the rear housing (at the speaker location)most if not all the buzzing/vibrating /distortion went away.
I then inserted small pieces of cotton (you can use felt, or similar I suppose) and buttoned it all back up;put the screws in
Almost all the distortion and speaker buzz/vibratingis gone except on very low frequencies.
good luck!

Problems with sound that buzz/vibration sound My brand new Toshiba 40 LCD has similar occasional buzz/ vibration coming from inside TV

Same problem with my new Toshiba 55" LCD.
Also, after being on for awhile, the sound suddenly gets distorted in a fuzzy, echoie kind of way. Switching to a non-digital channel and switching back seems to make that correct itself. I may try a new HDMI cable to see if the problem goes away. Any other ideas?
