Says exceeded maximum file size when try to send

I have sent video messages in the past but now when I record a video and try to send it i get an error message. It says "exceeded maximum file size". It has never done this before. I tried to record a shorter file i.e. like 3-10 seconds and it still gives the same message.

I can not send files to other peoples email. It

This sounds like it could be a size restriction imposed by your email service provider. You might like to try opening a free account with someone like 4Shared.com where you can upload your files to their server. You can then copy a link pointing to your file(s) on 4Shared and paste it into an email that you can easily send to your friend.
Hope this helps.

I can't send video messages on my HTC Inspire.

Open up your video camera. Change the settings so that it is set for MMS. It will decrease the resolution so that it is able to send. Good luck!

I have recorded a video on my lg envy but when I try to send to a friend, it says exceeds maximum file size. How can I fix this and send it?

In MMS the file size limit is 300KB, you'll have to convert your video, in example to 3GP video format, if your phone can't do it, you'll have to transfer video to a PC and use a 3GP converter software. For future video recordings, select the video size optimized for MMS, please check your phone user guide to see how to do this.

How do I send video via text message? Keep getting the message 'Unable to insert object. Maximum message size is 300kB' Is there a setting I need to alter somewhere to send something larger? Thanks.

Hello Megan

Unfortunately the maximum size for video sending is 300kB in this case. If you are within 15m of the other phone you can try to Bluetooth the video. Bluetooth has a much larger limit on file transfer.

So, in a nutshell, there is no setting which will resolve this issue.

Please feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance.

Kind regards

This message exceeded the Maximum Message Size set in Account Settings, so we have only downloaded the first few lines from the mail server. Click here to download the rest of the message.

These errors mean that the size of the message, including all headers, text and attachments, exceeds the domain's maximum per-message size limit - essentially, that the email is too big to be accepted.
This means that the message wasn't sent because it was too big. You need to take out something from the email to that it's small enough to send.

Delivery Status means what happened with the delivery eg sent, failed.

The recipient domain didn't accept the email because it was too large.
I would advise you to send the email in 2 smaller packages.

Send and receive up to 25MB per message. That means sharing lots of photos, music, video, and presentations without worrying about bumping up against message limits.

I have a received file on my Nokia 5310, that I would like to load onto my pc. The problem is that I am being sent a message that the file is too large, to send. The message says the maximum message size...

Your best bet is to use the USB cable to upload it to your PC. When you plug the cable to the phone, it should prompt for either Data Storage, PC suite or Music Sync.
If the file you want is on the phone memory, copy it to the memory card.
Then, on your phone, go to Menu, Settings, Connectivity, USB, select Data Storage.
Connect your phone to the PC. Then, go to "My Computer", click on the one that says "removable memory or removable device"....
Go to the folder in which the file is stored. click and drag to your desktop and its done!!

The File system that you have on your disk may be FAT32 in which case the maximum size of a single file can only be less than 4GB.

May be you are trying to render a file which can take up more than 4 GB size which will not be posible.

And if you want a higher file size then go for NTFS which can allow high file size.
