It appears your fan itself burned out. When a field coil of an electrical fan burns out it usually makes a lot of smoke. The noise could be something that fell in there that stopped the fan from turning freely. I can imagine it heated up under the strain and burned out.
When you restarted it was burnt out so hence no noise and no fan. The smell of the smoke should also be clue. Electrical field coils burning has an awful soury type of smell.
Hello, most likely the fan blade is either loose or cracked at the hub causing the blade to hit the fan shroud. You will either have tighten the fan blade or have to get a replacement.
did you find what caused the blower fan to break in the first place?I suspect the casing around the fan may not be clearing and something is in the fan again. or the keepers to keep it on the motor shaft are loose. The rollers for the drum and belt may be faulty. these are all of the parts that move so it has to be one or more of them.
From what you describe is happening, I would say that it is the fan that is causing the noise, not neccesserily the oven fan, because there is an external cooling fan as well, and these are the only moving parts that could cause a noise.
Hope this helps.
Modems don't have fans. I think you mean your fan in the computer makes a loud noise. Some computers have settings where the fan speeds up if you are doing a lot of things--making the computer work harder. Some fans make noise just before they fail. Depends on the type of noise. If it's a sound that has a lot of rattling in it or maybe a high screeching sound, I'm thinking you'll be needing a new fan. Probably a CPU fan is the culprit. Also, fans on video cards often go bad--so you'll have to open the case and listen to where the sound comes from.
If it does not make the noise when the fan is ruunin you may ahve abroken sping in the compressor. Make sure you Window unit is level. If not the compressor will knock on the inside. Rusty
