Question about LG Shine KE970 Cellular Phone
Hi, i can't get the names of my contacts to display in the inbox. Their names show up when i scroll through contacts but just the number displays in messsages. Any ideas on how i can fix this?
Its a promblem with telstra mobile, they havent checked the software propley, you need to return the phone... unless u put new firware on

For every contact i have i have entered two numbers in the phone book
one is their number as you would expect eg. 04 12 345 678
in their office number slot i have entered the number with 61 in from of it eg.614 12 345 678
that way their name shows in your inbox AND when the call you
61 is the australian code for international dialing. i guess it would be different if you lived somewhere else.

When you recieve a message,
and it comes up with there number not there name
you open the message and go to options; extract data
and then click add to existing contact, find the person
with that same number and overwrite the file and save it.
its the only way i have figured out, but it lets the name show up
in your inbox and when you recieve the call, you only have
to re save the file once. its annoying but its good when most are done :)

I've got my contacts in there twice, once listed as their 61 number, once as their 04 number, it's the only way around and was annoying to set up, but you get used to it

Change your contacts to show +61 and the number without the zero.. this is how numbers show when they come thru so it has to be exactly the same for it to show the name of the person..
Although in saying this i have done it and when a friend calls me the number only comes up with her 0 427 rah rah and it doesnt show their name only hteir number!
