Okay so i was doing work on my 1992 ford bronco, got all the mechanical work done and while re attatching wires from my new door, something must have happened and i have no power to my speedometer or my DEH P4000UB. i have run a test light to the hot wires coming from the car itself, and the wiring harness. i even did a straight hot wire from a 12 volt source to the back of the head unit and i got a bit of power to it.
What is the problem here? i have tried re connecting wires and making sure none of them short out when i turn the power on, ive replaced all the fuses in the entire car and even in the back of the unit itself.
Check your grounds! If you used any "scotch-locks" wire connectors (the kind that crimp to an existing wire to hook up another) get rid of them. have had multiple customers with issues with thoes things. remember the basic electrical circuit needs both power and ground to opperate correctly. Good luck!

I got a Pioneer DEH-P4000UB cd player with usb input for my car. I purchased a 16GB Scandisk Cruzer 2.0 flash drive (like taran_2005), but it will not recognize the usb. It gives me "Error 23" which the manual claims is a CD error. I formatted the usb as FAT32, copied the music back onto it and it still is not recognized. What now?
