Question about Brother MFC 420CN All-In-One InkJet Printer
Is there any way to get the colors flowing again? I filled some old cartrages with cleaner fluid & ran that through several times. It didn't seem to do the trick. any suggestions?
(Use new carts for this procedure because it consumes some ink!)
press menu then start mono (blue copy button) then fourtimes arrow up. machine will be in maintenance mode. press 7 then 6 then 4 then start mono (blue). machine will refresh ink within tubes and print head and do some cleaning. when in mantenance mode again press 7 then 6 then 3 then start mono. machine will do a power cleaning. afterwards leave the mode by pressing 9 then 9. Run a quality test print by pressing ink etc.
If you cant see any mag and/or cyan the ph is clogged or dryed out. It has to be replaced then.
If you can see some of the blocks do the power cleaning (7/6/3)again.
BTW: Do use only DYE ink for all brother printers! The pigment ink will clogg the micro filter infront of the nozzels. When running machine with generic ink print a quality test sheet once a week!
