F-1 code on whirlpool

take the front lower cover off and there is a tech sheet in there look at it and it will tell ya what the code is for and how to correct it I cant remember this code off the top of my head and all the brands have different codes.I have about 5 three ring binders of tech sheets in my van if you cant find it i will look it up for you once you find this sheet clear the code and run it through diag.mode the sheet will tell you how to put in in self or automatic try auto. good luck
