Descripticve Dialog on SAP?

How do you turn off te SAP? Apparently it is on and there is descriptive dialoge which can be heard only on the HD channel(s). I have gone through the menu (using the remote) numerous times but cannot figure out how to get rid of this "extra dialog." It's like somene is reading the scene descriptions for the visually impaired...?

Hello friends...i have a 15 lcd of alba company..model no alcd15tv2 ro3sx2...i m having problem with my tv sound as when i connects to tv through rf in sound dosent come...and when i join a dvd or any...

You have something in the set's menu set wrong--if sound ok with a DVD set is ok---look in menu for something like SAP= most sets have Mono-Stereo-Sap settings.

Sap is secondary audio program which is for a second language to be broadcast (French, Spanish etc.) and if not active there will be no sound on selected channels.

I suspect a careful look will show SAP is engaged and some remotes have a button (MTS etc that will unwittingly get pressed).

Good luck and hope this helped.

How to I disable the SAP function on RCA FLAT 19 INCH screen?

From its main Menu, surf towards its sound Menu.
By using UP/DOWN buttons of the remote handset, select SAP

SAP (Second Audio Program) (for analog channels only) Plays the

program's audio in a second language, if one is available. The TV displays

the word SAP in the channel banner when you tune to a program that is

broadcast with SAP information. SAP audio is broadcast in mono. SAP is also

used to broadcast a program's audio with descriptions of the video for the
visually impaired. Press the right arrow button to turn SAP on or off.

How do I turn off the SAP - there is audio description of what's happening on NCIS which was not there before.

If the remote control has a SAP button, pressing it should cycle through the choices. Keep pressing it until you reach OFF. (That's probably how it got turned on. It's easy to hit a button and not know it.) If the remote doesn't have SAP button, adjust the settings through the set's setup menu. If you are using a cable box, make sure it doesn't have a SAP setting that has gotten turned on.

Background voice, 27 inch "truflat" 2005 model

What you're hearing is the descriptive audio track included on many DVDs for vision-impaired viewers. Does this happen when you're watching regular TV or just with DVDs? If it happens with regular TV, do you have a cable box?

Regular broadcasting sometimes uses SAP (second audio program) to send additional audio, and this descriptive audio may be the SAP channel on some programs. Check your TV's audio settings to make sure you don't have SAP turned on. There may also be settings for SAP in your cable box as well, so check there too.

When playing a DVD, descriptive audio is usually an alternate audio track. Check your DVD player setting to make sure you've selected normal audio for playback.

HD Video Recorder - CEC connection with HDTV

My first question would be, Is your Panasonic HD recorder CEC compliant? CEC means Consumer Electronics Control. That simply allows for the consumer to have better control over their Home Theater set up through the connection of you HDMI cable from their remote control without programing the remote control for every single device that is connected. If your recorder is CEC compliant the television should have automatically recognize the recorder and control you recorder via remote control (I am assuming that your recorder is an HD Camcorder, since your description was very vague). Once you connect your HD camcorder to your panasonic tv the tv should have turned on switching to the correct input and the same for any other CEC comliant devices. If your Panasonic HD recorder is not CEC compliant the you would have to start viewing your recorder the old fashion way, by using the recorder remote control or if your Toshiba remote is universal punch those codes in so that you can control your devices that way. If that don't work, try a different HDMI input and select the input and make sure your recorder is set to output on you tv. Hope this helps.....before I forget, check out this site to learn more about Consumer Electronics Control (CEC)

The SAP must be turned off and you must have the original remote apparently. I would do a search for Orion customer support and get a remote.

Weird arch like lines

Hello HollyJ, If possible can you post a picture of the problem, It would help in determining if this is a convergence problem or a pincushion circuit problem. You description while good is a little to general to many possible issues. This sounds like a defection issue but I would not be able to tell unitl I see a picture of the screen, take the picture with a digital camera and the post it to the page using the add image link on the right side of the dialog box. Thank you, Shuttle83,
