Take a piece of very lightly waxed, thin floss and run it gently under the rotating switch, all the way around it. I worked on mine!

I don't think any "cleaning products" will help or be a good idea. If you can use a brush or a sliver of paper (NOT tissue!) and work around the button, that may dislodge anything rubbing or stuck against it. Perhaps only disassembling will allow it to be cleaned properly. If you've spilled Coke or the like on it then that is very sticky (sugar) and it would need to come apart.
