Front vent on JMV8208A Jenn-Air Over-the-range...

Greetings, everybody.
I have just finished installing the JMV8208A micorowave oven, which comes with room recirculating configuration out of the box. I have completed the convesion to the yop-vented configuration with external vertical duct, and it is blowing up the ventilation duct properly.
Now there is no need to open the top front vent, as there is nothing coming back to the room. But the microwave oven keeps opening oit whenever fan is engaged.
I am looking for a way to keep the front vent closed.
Any thoughts?

The best JennAir could do was to suggest a paid service call.
Instead I carefully removed the outer cover and unplugged the module responsible for opening and closing the front vent (it can be seen through the front vent on the left side of the slot). No other modification was required, and this modification is reversible, if there is a future need to convert the microvawe back to the front-venting mode.
The problem is now solved.

GuruThere may be an option to turn that off with the keypad, but your best bet would be to contact Jenn-Air.
