This is an error relating to the NVIDIA video card drivers. If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, thentry re-installing the software and drivers. These can be downloaded from the NVIDIA web site.

Monitor troubling by changing the menu settings by itself

If the monitor only displays 640x480 & 16 colors, it sounds like the display adapter is using standard windows svga drivers. (Unless you have a VERY old monitor that can't display more than that.) Have you tried reinstalling the drivers that came with your video card ?

Click on "start", then "Run".
type in "msconfig" (no quotation marks)
It should open the system configuration-thingy.
If it is set to anything other than "normal startup" (ie diagnostic startup), change it back to "normal startup". Click "apply", "ok", and then restart your computer. You will hopefully be able to change your settings again.

If everything fails change your video card

Thanks. If this solution works for you then please rate me.

Why does my computer says Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

usually if there is an corrupted driver windows will say,if you have the reinstall disk for that device good for you otherwise you might want to search the web for the latest, you might want to go in device manager and uninstall it restart windows, windows will tell you new device found and prompt for the disk or install automatically.
Good luck
