My ethernet light went off and won't come back on. No internet service or email now. I have Westell dsl router modem and at&t yahoo service. Changed out yellow ethernet cord, no change. Bought another modem from eBay, still ethernet light does not come on. Since the modem I just received is smaller, I think it may be a different model no. Would that make a difference? Thank you for your help.

no matter what the model is, the thing has to work. it is not that ur new modem is smaller so it is not working . Check the suggestable router modems for AT&T . if ur modem is working fine , then install the modem drivers in your Pc.
