A4 TECH PK5 web cam without cd

Go to the manufacturer's website and download and install the drivers. If the webcam came with your computer and was installed internally on the lcd screen then check the manufacturer of the computer's site. If it's a web cam that you purchased separately then check the site of the webcam's manufacturer.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Acer Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Webcam drivers.

Maybe everything is already installed but you don't know how to start the webcam. If that's the case try the steps below.

You have to open the webcam software to activate or start the webcam. There is no button to push or switch to turn on. The webcam software is somewhere in the program list. Click Start/Programs then search for any reference to webcam or camera. Sometimes the webcam might be inside one of the manufacturers folders in the program list so search the folders for it. Some manufacturers have something like Entertainment Experience that will open and show all the entertainment devices such as the dvd drive, webcam, media player, etc. if you see it click it to launch it then click on the webcam or camera icon.

Try using ManyCam. It comes with drivers and application software.

You can always download Manycam and install it. Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "download.cnet.com" (without the quotes). Click on the link to go to the site. When the site opens look down on the left and you will see a gray area that says Find Software. Type "Manycam" (without the quotes) in the white search area then hit the search mirror. When it brings back your results look for the one that says ManyCam Virtual Webcam. Down load it and install it. Make sure you remove the check box on any junky programs it would like to install. You only want to install ManyCam, no additions whatsoever during the install. ManyCam is totally FREE and easy to use, and you will always know where your webcam software is.

Webcam do nt work

Why does it not work? What is the problem with it?

Is the webcam driver installed in the Device Manager under Imaging Device? Click Start/Control Panel then look for System or System and Performance. Open it and look for the Device Manager. It might be under hardware depending on your operating system. Once you have the Device Manager open look for Imaging Device. If you see it click the + sign next to Imaging Device to expand it to see the webcam. Make sure it says it is working properly.

If you don't see it under Imaging Device then you need to go to the manufacturers website and download the webcam drivers.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Acer Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Webcam drivers.

Maybe it is installed but you don't know how to start the webcam. There are not buttons or switches to make it start. It is driven by the application software program.

The webcam driver might already be installed. Maybe you just don't know where to look for the program that launches it.

Anyway if you have to install the webcam driver try the steps below:

Look for the Device Manager (it might be under hardware). Open the device manger and look for Imaging Devices. Click the + next to imaging devices to expand and see the camera. if it is there the drive is installed. You can click on it to see if it says it is working properly.

You could download and reinstall the webcam driver.

How to use camera function on pro9000 logitech cam

Congrats on getting the 9000 - it is one of the best webcams on the market. To use it simply launch a video chat program like Skype, MSN, or Yahoo. You can also use a program on your computer to take webcam pics and record webcam videos. I downloaded the free version of Debut on my laptop for pics and videos. The article Answers to Your Webcam Questions has a lot of tips and links to free programs like Debut you can download and use with your webcam.
